Bullet proof lesson from India. Lessons can be learnt from Indian security forces who took part in response to the Mumbai attacks which began on 26 November 2008. Eleven police men were killed in attacks by gunmen in India's financial centre. Leaked information suggests that the police men may have been equipped with sub standard anti ballistic armour. This poor quality kit proved no defence against the high penetrative capabilities of the AK 47 assault rifle.
Even now at the time of writing the Indian security services are not fully kitted out with the necessary spec equipment to be fully protected. It can be seen from this appalling blunder that the price paid for skimping on quality, especially in this area can be a deadly one.
